The blow-fill-cap specialist unveiled a new service offer for food and non-food product manufacturers: from the creation and eco-design until the industrialization of PET ans rPET bottles and cups with associated caps and labels by the newly created Serac Packaging Services department.

 

 

From the creative idea to the blown bottle or cup

The service supplied by Serac starts with the creative stage and imagine outstanding concepts for each brand.

When a design idea is selected, the packaging experts from Serac finetune it so that it can be blown properly. At this stage sample bottles can be 3D printed or samples can be blown for the final validation of the design.

Then comes the industrialization process, with blowing tests on Serac linear blowers and quality checking (dimensions, weight, compressive strength).

With state of the art features to meet sustainability and UX requirements

The first model catalog issued by Serac Packaging Services includes essential features for future packagings, amongst which:

  • tethered caps for better recyclability,
  • reusable sprays to meet regulatory requirements,
  • integrated handles for more comfort,
  • squeezable bottles for sport applications,
  • extra light, glass-like yogurt cups in rPET,
  • QR codes that provide increased interactivity with consumers,
  • flat bottles for home and personal care.

 

These packagings are intentionally made of PET and rPET since this material is leading the transition toward a circular economy.
